Launch of the third season of the Z-MED medical education podcast

SolidarMed is strengthening continuing education for healthcare workers in Zambia with the Z-MED podcast. The third season was recently launched.

The Z-MED podcast, produced in Zambia by SolidarMed, is a platform intended to improve the training and instruction of healthcare professionals. The podcast empowers health workers and equips them with knowledge to improve healthcare services. The third series launched recently, and focuses on maternal and child health. This ten-episode series takes an in-depth look at safe childbirth practices, maternal mental health, newborn care, and child nutrition. The podcast features case studies and solutions that have a direct impact on patient care.

Since 2021, Z-MED has been used by various healthcare professionals in Zambia and beyond. Through expert discussion and case-based learning, the app closes knowledge gaps, supports the revision of learning content, teaches the latest clinical knowledge and insights, and brings healthcare professionals into contact with real-life case studies and clinical practice. The podcast is available on all the common platforms and reaches a growing audience of 3,264 listeners worldwide. Its success highlights the need for ongoing innovation in teaching and instruction methods.
