High blood pressure: trained laypeople improve healthcare in rural Africa

In rural regions of Africa, high blood pressure often goes untreated because health centres are far away and there is a shortage of skilled health professionals. A study by the University of Basel and SolidarMed in Lesotho shows how trained laypeople can help to close the care gap.
